JAKARTA: The Foreign Ministry said Friday several countries had issued travel advisories to their citizens wishing to visit Indonesia after the deadly twin hotel bombings.

"But there have been no travel warnings yet," said ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah.

He added the Australian and United States governments had only urged their citizens to be more cautious if traveling to Indonesia.

The near-simultaneous bombs hit the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in South Jakarta on July 17, killing nine and leaving more than 50 injured.

Faizasyah said the Australian and United States governments had also formally offered help to Indonesia to resolve the case.

He said that the United States had offered offered a database and DNA records of terrorists, while the Australian government had offered its expertise in scrutinizing the CCTV footage to identify the bombers.

"We've forwarded their offers to the Indonesian police, who will make the decision," he said. -JP
