Komodo National Park secures berth in New 7 Wonders of Nature final

Komodo National Park has secured a berth in the final round of the New 7 Wonders of Nature competition, the Culture and Tourism Ministry says.
The park joins 27 other finalists, which beat 440 nominees from 220 countries.
"We thank the Indonesian people and others in the world for supporting Komodo National Park in the competition," the ministry said on Monday in a press release.
The 28 finalists will compete to win votes from people around the globe to be nominated as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, which will be announced in 2011.
