The lawyer for Myanmar democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi says her trial is likely to conclude today before a widely anticipated guilty verdict is handed down early next month.
Defense lawyer Nyan Win says the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and three other defendants will be given a chance to reply to prosecution arguments made Monday.
He spoke just before Tuesday's session began.
Suu Kyi - who has spent nearly 14 of the last 20 years under house arrest - is charged with violating the terms of her detention by harboring an American man, also being tried, who swam uninvited to her lakeside home and stayed for two days.
