Adhi Karya's net profit soars 300 percent in first half

State construction firm PT Adhi Karya's net profit soared 300 percent in the first half of this year as it secured hefty gains from selling its fixed assets.
The company's first-half net profit jumped to Rp 42.3 billion (US$4.2 million) this year from Rp 10.3 billion a year earlier.
The rise in net profit is attributable to the significant profits it secured from selling its fixed assets, which amounted to Rp 44.3 billion in the first half of this year, or a 38,506- percent increase as compared to the same period last year.
The company also enjoyed a currency gain in the same period, booking Rp 18.36 billion in the first half of this year from Rp 4.063 billion a year earlier.
