Indra Gautama Sukiman, head of Banda Aceh customs office, told Antara news agency on Thursday that twp passengers arriving on an Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumpur were found with packages of meth in their shoes on Wednesday afternoon.

He said that the two men were behaving suspiciously, which led customs officers to inspect their baggage. The officers also inspected the men's shoes after seeing them walk awkwardly.

The men told the authorities that they were couriers and received Rp 3 million each to bring the drug, worth around Rp 1 billion (US$101,000),  into Indonesia from a man in Kelang Setia Alam, Malaysia.
