A third Indonesian has died of H1N1. The patient died on Sunday after being treated for several days at the Persahabatan Hospital in Jakarta, a relative of the victim, who requested anonymity, told The Jakarta Post.
“She died from severe complications. She was treated for H1N1 infection for a week,” the man, whose brother was the victims fiancé, said.
However, she also suffered from pneumonia before she was infected with H1N1, he added.
A 6-year-old girl became the first person to die of H1N1 in Indonesia two weeks ago; a 28-year-old woman then died of the virus last Thursday. (hdt)
