JAKARTA: Traffic Police said Wednesday they had collect 2 kilograms of nails during a two-hour sweep of several roads in the capital earlier in the day.
Using a car equipped with magnetic equipment, First Adj. Insp. Dodi, First Brig. Andi and Second Brig. Reza reported the nails were scattered mostly on Jl. Gatot Subroto heading to Slipi and the underpass at the Semanggi cloverleaf in Central Jakarta.
The sweep was made in response to complaints by motorists about nails deliberately scattered by tire repairmen or gangs of robbers. -JP
