Police kill two terrorist suspects in Bekasi house raid

The police's Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror arrested a terrorist suspect and killed two others in separated incidents in Bekasi, West Java, early on Saturday morning, detik.com news portal has reported.

The police arrested Ahmad Ferry after stopping his car, allegedly carrying explosive material in Jl. Kranggan in Bekasi around midnight. Police reportedly had been following the car since it depart from Solo in Central Java earlier.

Based on information from Ahmad, police raided a house in Puri Nusapla housing complex in Jatiasih, Bekasi. The police were met with resistance from two men, Ari Setyawan and Eko Peyong, who reportedly intend to explode bombs in their hand.

Police shot the two men and killed them. The bodies have been taken to Dr. Sukanto police hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Rumors were circulating that the suspect intend to explode bomb at the State Palace in Central Jakarta and at President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s private residence in Cikeas, West Java.

Cikeas is located five kilometers off the housing complex. (dre)
