England pulls out of badminton Worlds

England has pulled out of the World Badminton Championships scheduled to begin Monday in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, an organiser of the world championship has said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Sunday that a statement would be issued later detailing the reasons behind the withdrawal.

In March, two of England's top badminton players withdrew from the India Open citing security concerns.
