Putri Indonesia ranks third in global competition

NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Away from controversies in her home country, Putri Indonesia 2008 Zivanna Letisha Siregar captivated the hearts of the judges at the Miss Universe 2009 when she stepped out in her bikini.
The Miss Universe 2009 official website reports that Zizi, as she is known, is in third position in the list of finalists following Larissa Costa from Brazil and Hoang Yen Yo from Vietnam.
It is proving to be a tight competition between the three, with the Brazilian beauty pageant winner sitting on a score of 2.87, and her Vietnamese counterpart on 2.79. Zizi is right behind her with 2.78.
The bikini photo session is only one of a series of sessions before the international pageant panel of judges.
The grand final of Miss Universe is scheduled for Aug. 23.
But despite having a tight schedule and tough competition, staying in the beautiful islands of the Bahamas seems to be such a holiday for Zizi that the only thing that is bothering her right now is the thought of having to leave.
“I don’t want to go home. It’s the one thing I’m afraid of. It’s so lovely here,” she said as quoted by entertainment website inilah.com on Monday. — JP
