The National Police will hand over the bodies of at least four terrorist suspects, two of whom were killed in a raid last week, to their families Wednesday.

The police is also expected to announce Wednesday morning the identity of a suspect who was shot dead by the Detachment 99 counterterrorism squad in Temanggung, Central Java.

''Besides revealing the identity of the fifth suspect, the police will also hand over the other suspects' bodies to their families,'' said National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Nanan Soekarna, as quoted by Antara news agency.

The bodies of Dani Dwi Permana, Nana Ihwan Maulana, Air Setiawan, Eko Joko Sarjono, and the unidentified man are still in police custody at the Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Dani and Nana are suspected of being the suicide bombers in the July 17 blasts at the JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotels in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta. Air and Eko were killed during a raid at Puri Nusaphala housing complex in Jati Asih, Bekasi, on August 7. The police allege that the men attempted to detonate hand bombs in encounter. (dre)
