Revalina turns singer on new album

JAKARTA: It seems Revalina S. Temat is following the latest trend among Indonesian actresses: Becoming a singer.

Together with fellow actresses Intan Nuraini, Melanie Putria and Asmirandah, Revalina has released a new single on a compilation album released for Ramadhan, titled Sang Penciptaku Vol. 2 (My Creator Vol. 2).

The album was produced by singer Rossa.

“For me, this is a new experience. There’s no harm in trying it,” says the 24-year-old actress and model.
Revalina told entertainment portal kapanlagi.com that she wrote the song on the album by herself and that it is only one of several songs she has written.

“I sang one of my own songs on the album,” says Revalina. “Usually, I write songs based on my experiences, or others’. There’s even one song about street children,” adds the girlfriend of actor Ringgo Agus Rahman.

As she has finally been given the chance to sing, Revalina says she will continue to study and improve her vocal skills.

“I certainly had several difficulties [in singing], but I hope to overcome them through studying,” she says. — JP
