Schoolboy Dominic Brain from Kuta in the Bali regency of Badung, lived up to his name as he displayed his ability to recollect a 76-digit figure in only 60 seconds on Saturday to win an entry to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Dominic, 12, showed his extraordinary ability in a test organized by the Guinness World Records Asia at the Bali Safari Park in Gianyar.

"Remembering that many digits in a row in such a short time is not an easy thing to do, and for a boy of his age to be able to accomplish it, that is exceptionally extraordinary," Alex Iskandar Liew, a representative of the Guiness World Records Asia, was quoted by Antara news agency.

Dominic's father, Gidion Hindartho, said he had trained Dominic by a method which everybody could learn.

"Second or third-year school children can actually easily remember figures of up to 100 digits if they are trained under the right method.”

Dominic said he had trained three times a day over the past two months. He said he would continue training to be able to remember up to 104 digits.
