Four killed in Central Java traffic accident

Four people were killed in a traffic accident involving a passenger car and two trucks in Temanggung, Central Java on Saturday morning.

The dead victims were identified as Nurkhozim (44) and Rofia (49) of Purworejo and Sri Wahyuti and Vera Kurnia Oktaviana (11) of Windusari, Magelang.

Antara news agency reported that the incident began when Suzuki Carry passenger car heading from Ambarawa went out of control and hit a truck carrying sand on the opposite lane.

The car spinned and was hit by another truck going also from Ambarawa.

Three other people, namely, Margono, driver of the Suzuki, Budi Sulistyo and Muhtarom, were injured.

Margono said that he, his wife Sri and daughter Vera were on their way home after attending a wedding party of his other daughter in Blitar, East Java, on Friday night.
