An ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver was arrested Monday with 998 Ecstasy pills, during a spot check by the North Jakarta Police, an officer said.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Chrysnanda Dwi Laksana said the suspect, identified only as CG, looked anxious when officers stopped him and asked for his vehicle registration and driver’s license.
“When frisked, he was found carrying almost a thousand Ecstasy pills, wrapped in black plastics bags,” he said.
Chrysnanda said the suspect was believed to be a middleman for a much more prominent Ecstasy dealer. (bbs)
