More dead bodies found in Kalimantan boat accident

Five dead bodies were recovered from Negara River in Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan on Saturday, following a passenger boat accident the night before.

First Admiral Iskandar Sitompul, A Navy spokesman, told state news agency Antara in Jakarta that search teams of the Navy and the National Search and Rescue Agency, have evacuated the bodied to the nearest hospital.

The five dead bodies were among 21 feared trapped inside the boat after the accident. The teams were still looking for the missing victims.

The overloaded boat sank at around 8 p.m. on Friday. It was estimated that 132 passengers were on  the boat, which only have 45-passenger capacity. Some 110 passenger survived the accident and one was found dead immediately after the incident.
