President to visit earthquake victims in Cianjur

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is on his way to visit earthquake victims in Cianjur regency in West Java, where tens of people are still missing in a landslide triggered by the powerful quake.

The president and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono left their private residence in Cikeas, Bogor, accompanied by Home Minister Mardiyanto, Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari and Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Aburizal Bakrie.

Yudhoyono is scheduled for a coordination meeting with local administration at the Presidential Palace in Cipanas later in the day.

At least 41 people are still missing in the landslide that hit two villages in Cianjur.

The National Disaster Management Body (BNPB)  reported that at least 45 people were killed and dozens were missing after the 7.3-magnitude earthquake rocked southern part of West Java on Wednesday.
