Road repair works to be `finished before Idul Fitri'

SUBANG: Transportation Minister Jusman Syafi'i Djaman said the repairs of roads damaged by the West Java earthquake would be completed in time for the Idul Fitri holidays.
"Roads and railways damaged by the earthquake have been repaired. We will finish the work by Idul Fitri because the damage is not severe," Jusman told Kompas.com on Saturday.
He hoped people could return to their hometowns in the upcoming Idul Fitri holidays without any transportation problems following the earthquake.
This year's post-Ramadan Idul Fitri holidays will fall on Sept. 21 and Sept. 22. - JP
