The four deputy chairman of the Corruption Eradication
Commission (KPK) arrived at the National Police headquarters on Friday morning
to answer a police summons in connection with their alleged involvement at a
case of corruption at the very department charged with stopping it.
KPK deputy chairmen Bibit Samad Rianto, Chandra M Hamzah, M Jasin and Haryono
Umar arrived at Police headquarters in South Jakarta
at 9:30 a.m. accompanied by KPK spokesman Johan Budi.
“We are here as witnesses, we will speak to you later,” Chandra told the press.
The four were fingered in testimony given to police by Antasari Azhar, who is
on trial for his role in an unrelated murder.
