Prita's email circulated by another hospital

TANGERANG: Complaints Prita Mulyasari made over the Internet about Omni International Hospital's poor service influenced another international hospital, the Tangerang District Court heard Thursday.

Juniwati Gunawan, director of the Bintaro International Hospital (RSIB) testified that she received an email containing Prita's complaints about Omni from her friend on Aug. 30 last year.

Juniwati said after reading Prita's mail titled "Deception by Omni International Hospital", she circulated it to the supervisors of her hospital with the title "Hopefully this will not happen here".

"There are 30 supervisors at the RSIB. I hope that after reading Prita's complaints about Omni they will improve their service and pay more attention to patients," she told the court.

However, in reference to the results of blood test at the center of the case, Juniwati said invalid medical records could not be given to patients even if they ask for them.

The presiding judge postponed the defamation hearing until Oct. 7 to hear testimony from an information technology expert. - JP
