Parking revenue down during Idul Fitri

DENPASAR: The city's parking agency chief Nyoman Putrawan said the parking revenue is expected to decrease by 30 percent during the Idul Fitri holiday period from Sept. 18 to 23.

"We will experience a significant decrease in revenue. The decrease will be around 30 percent or Rp 120 million," he said in Denpasar on Saturday.

The parking agency's average monthly revenue is Rp 400 million.

"With a large number of Denpasar residents leaving the city to spend Lebaran in their respective hometowns, the number of people using our services will surely be much less than the one during the normal days," he added.

Despite the expected decrease, the agency will not reduce the number of parking officials assigned to the city's streets on that period, he said.

"All of our 700 parking officials will work as usual," Putrawan said. - JP
