Letters: On the controversial film law:

It is understandable when film industry professionals showed their disappointment over the way the law can potentially hinder the awakening of the national film industry through creativity assassination. Therefore I think the law needs to be reviewed, especially for those points that are somewhat unnecessary.
Moreover, please keep in mind that we still have the Film Censor Institute (LSF), which plays a role in filtering every single film before release. I hope I still can watch some national films that are colored with rich ideas but remain polite.

Back to the essence of the law, it was produced to monitor or control every object and subject stipulated under the law. As such, this law allows the monitoring and control of every movement of filmmakers who are afraid of being suspected that they will insult, harm or criticize anybody or the state. Therefore it should really be examined in a comprehensive manner.

I'm not one of those professionals, but I *m sure they know exactly that the bill will hamper freedom of expression and stifle creativity. I agree with some who say that this regime is a new New Order. Or even worse?
