The police’s Detachment 88 counterterrorism unit has found eight sacks of explosives during its raid in a house suspected to be the home base for terrorists involved in July’s hotel bombings in Jakarta.

National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Nanan Soekarna said Thursday that the team had also discovered grenades and weapons at the house in Kepoh Sari village, Surakarta.

“We still have to identify all our findings, including the identities of those killed in the search,” Nanan told kompas.com.

He added the police would elaborate on details of the search later Thursday afternoon. (ewd)
