TMII expects 400,000 visitors over Idul Fitri

JAKARTA: With the recent opening of a new water park and a host of events to celebrate the Idul Fitri holidays, the Indonesia Miniature Park (TMII) expects a more than 50 percent increase in the number of visitor during the coming holidays.

Ade F. Meliala, head of Taman Mini, said that the park has set a target of attracting some 400,000 visitors in seven days to their Pekan Lebaran (Festive Week).

"Pekan Lebaran starts on the first day of Idul Fitri, which is the 21st. It will run until the 27th of September," she said.

"There will also be dangdut for seven days," she said.

For the holiday, the ticket price will hold steady at Rp 9,000. - JP
