Home-bound traveler dies in a car while waiting in line

TANGERANG: A young Tangerang resident died in his car while waiting in line to cross from the Merak seaport, West Java, to the Bakauheni seaport in Sumatra.

Suci Nurhayati, a 28-year-old who was riding with her family to their hometown in Kota Bumi, Lampung, allegedly died from an asthma attack.

"She has had asthma for a while, and probably died from an attack," her sister-in-law, Maria, said to Kompas.com.

The car had been waiting in line for two hours to cross the Sunda strait, along with thousands of others who were heading home to celebrate Idul Fitri. - JP
