World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight champion Chris John of Indonesia successfully defended his title after beating US boxer Rocky Juarez in a rematch in Las Vegas, the US, on Sunday morning Jakarta time.

Chris won on points in a unanimous 114-113, 119-109, 117-111 decision in his mandatory title bout, a 12-round match held at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada. He successfully defended his title 12 times with the match's result.

He was dominant in most of the rounds, thanks to an aggressive attacking. Juarez managed to step up his fight during the last three rounds, but it was too late an effort.

Chris John drew with Juarez in the first bout on March 28, in Houston. The second match, scheduled on June 27 in Los Angeles, was cancelled after Chris John suffered from a mysterious illness a week before the bout.
