National Police chief Gen
em>National Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri confirmed Thursday the death of Noordin M. Top, the country's most wanted terror suspect, in an exchange of fire during a raid on a house in the Central Java town of Surakarta earlier in the day.
"The fingerprints we took from one of the terror suspects' bodies matched those of Noordin that we obtained from Malaysia," Bambang said at a press conference at the National Police headquarters in Jakarta.
"We found similarities in at least 14 points, which is justifiable proof."

I'm impressed once again with the Indonesian Police - they don't muck around and don't stop until their job is done.
We'll never know how many innocent lives their brave work has saved, but we ought to be grateful, Indonesians and Westerners alike.

Finally the scumbag is dead. Great work by Detachment 88, and happy holidays to friends in Indonesia.

Kudos to the Indonesian police - the planet is cleaner now. This fight should not stop here, and all of those arrested must be made to spit out everything they know.

May he rot in hell! However, with Noordin finally out of the way, it won't mean the end of terrorism in Indonesia.
There are still many hard-line zealots roaming this country to continue his murderous work and recruit even more deadly bombers.
They will probably lie low in the first few months, but most likely pick up again thereafter, because terrorism is like an ugly many-headed monster: one head gets chopped off, but another, even uglier one, immediately grows in its place. So remaining vigilant is a must, lest terrorists again try to wreak havoc in this country.

Don't those sick people get the message? It seems they really want to be destroyed completely. I wonder if all terrorist activities originated there.

The boarding school should be investigated for terrorist activities and the area should be checked for terrorists on top of those who were shot. The bodies of the terrorists after confirmation of their identities should be thrown into a mass ditch face first and covered in pig feces in a location no one can find.
