Residents damage village head's house

BOGOR: Hundreds of residents from three hamlets in Sukamulya village attacked the village head's house on Monday evening during a protest.

The villagers in Sukamakmur district's Bogor regency retaliated after the brother-in-law of village head Entum Partubi hit a resident.

Sukamakmur district head Didin Wahidin said Entum's brother-in-law, Bustomi, hit Bubun, a resident of Kampung Cisoro.

"Bustomi hit Bubun after Bubun stated that the Kampung Cisoro asphalt project was bankrupt," Didin said.

The claim was made by Bubun on posters along the main road of the kampung, Didin claimed.

Jonggol Police are investigating the case. Several witnesses have been questioned. - JP
