A 7.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Jambi in Sumatera at 8:52 a.m. on Thursday, one day after a 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit Padang, West Sumatera.
The Geophysics, Climatology, and Meteorology Agency (BMKG) said on its website that the earthquake's epicenter was located 46 kilometers southeast of Sungaipenuh, Jambi at a depth of 10 kilometers.
It did not cause a tsunami, the agency said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
