President summons police chief after raid on terror suspects

Shortly after visiting a boarding house in Ciputat, South Tangerang, where the police’s counter-terror squad shot dead two terror suspects, National Police Chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri rushed to the State Palace to meet President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Friday afternoon.
“The police chief was summoned by the president,” a staff at the National Police Headquarters, Comr. Amri, told reporters.
About 20 journalists were allowed to wait for the police chief in a meeting room where he hosts official events, kompas.com reported.
It remains unclear if Bambang was summoned in connection with the raid on the two wanted terror suspects.
Bambang is slated to hold a media conference at 5 p.m.
