The Ubud Writers and Readers Festival today will feature some free and ticketed special events, including a twilight playreading by Balinese Cok Sawitri.
The Indonesian-language playreading titled Bubat for Gusmiati Suid will be held from 6 p.m until 7.30 p.m in Wantilan Pura Desa on Jl. Hanoman.
Participants can also enjoy Words and Sounds of Poems, another poetry reading tonight with Indonesian poets at the Denpasar Art Center at 7 p.m.
Those interested in meeting writers, poets, performers, designers, artists and dancers to share their creative ideas in a unique way can come to Pecha Kucha (Japanese for "chit-chat").
There is also a cancelled event, Readings from a Bridge, which was scheduled to start at 4 p.m at Tjampuan Bridge.
A book by Singaporean author , Manaf Hamzah, titled Dedaun Hijau di Angin Lalu (Green Leaves on a Passing Wind) will be launched at 4:30 p.m in Gaya Art Fusion.
Today's sessions also include another launch of a book by Nasir Tamara titled Indonesia Rising, at Casa Luna at 5 p.m.
