Letter: Article on homosexuality

A- A A+

I'm referring to the article "Happiness in the arms of Sugar Daddy" in the Sunday Post, Oct. 4. First, the editor should be aware that its readers are not all adults. How could you approve of this kind of writing? It's like showing a gay porn movie to a 13-year-old kid. I sure don't want my teenage students to read this kind of article.

And to Diaz, the writer, what exactly was your objective when you were writing this article? To get some kind of a recognition from the gay world? Practice your lifestyle as you want but don't expose it to innocent young readers. I wouldn't mind it if you posted this on a Playboy magazine.

I'm not going to lecture you about what the Abrahamic religions say about homosexuality and I do respect people's different beliefs, so I'm just going to give you some common sense advice; there is more to life than acquiring worldly pleasures and we can only receive grace through self-denials and discipline. Moreover, it isn't just the knowledge, but also the restraining from lust and greed that distinguish us from animals.

And when sex goes on between everybody all the time, epidemics spread in every direction. For the sugar daddies, whenever you go for a yearly or (advisably) monthly medical checkup, make sure that you bring along your berondonggays. Promiscuous as they are, some of them are just clueless and often do not know who they are and what they want.

Finally, for the clueless and self-searching young gays, don't be contemptuous of old traditions and practices. They truly help.
