RI shuttlers bring 4 titles home from Vietnam

JAKARTA: Indonesian shuttlers brought home four titles from the Vietnam Open, on Sunday, losing only the men's single titles.

Fransisca Ratnasari beat China Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying 21-19, 15-21, 21-13 to win the women's singles title, while the pair of Luluk Hadiyanto and Joko Riyadi claimed the men's doubles title after routing Malaysian duo of Hong Thien How and Ong Soon Hock 21-19, 22-20.

In mixed doubles, Flandy Lampele, who paired with Chen Wen Hsing of China Taipei, won the title by defeating Malaysian pair Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying 25-23, 21-19, kompas.com reported.

Anneke Agustine and Annisa Wahyuni carried Indonesian winnings further as they beat Thai's Savitree Amitrapai and Vacharaporn Munkin 21-1, 21-13 to win the women's doubles.

Vietnamese Nguyen Tien Minh overpowered Chong Wei Feng of Malaysia 21-7, 19-21, 21-14 to clinch the men's single titles. - JP
