The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) is holding a meeting to talk about an establishment of an ad-hoc committee, which will revise the Assembly's internal regulation.

"The revision was mandated by the 2009 Legislative Body Composition Law," one of the MPR deputy chairmen, Lukman Hakim from the United Development Party (PPP) faction, said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

"We will talk about the revision on the MPR procedures when it implements its authorities, such as the inauguration of presidents, the amendment of the 1945 Constitution, and replacing an MPR leader should he or she is incapable to do his or her job," he added.

The MPR is scheduled to inaugurate President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his running mate, Boediono, on Oct. 20.(hdt)
