Detectives from Bogor Police Narcotics Unit raided a storage house in Cibereum village in South Bogor, West Java, and seized 107 kilograms of dried marijuana on Monday.

The drug was allegedly to be distributed around cities in the greater Jakarta area.

Bogor Police Narcotics Unit head Adj. Comr. Bambang Cipto Hadi said the raid was based on a tip-off from local residents.

They had reported that a resident named Jamal Zulhak who rented the house had often been seen selling marijuana to other residents, Bambang said.

"Based the tip from the residents, we conducted police surveillance," Bambang said.

"Later, we found that the house was being used as a warehouse by the suspects,"

During the raid, the detectives arrested Jamal along with four other suspected drug dealers: Hendra Gunawan, Herman Suherman, Tedy Sukardi and Dendi.

The suspects were questioned by Bogor Police.

Jamal told police there was another suspect still at large named Kapau, who was the actual owner of the drugs.

He claimed Kapau had previously entrusted him to keep the marijuana.

"At first, I got 50 kilograms, and then another 50. This was the third time, and I got 150 kilograms, but so far we were only able to sell 43 kilograms," Jamal said.

"The 107 kilograms remained *in his rented house* until police raided the house."

Jamal said he could earn up to Rp 20 million a month in profits from selling marijuana. Previously he had worked as the driver's crew on public buses.

In June, Bogor Police apprehended two suspects for illegal possession of 1.5 kilograms of marijuana, in the Cigudeg district of Bogor, a police officer said Tuesday.

Bogor Police detectives chief Adj. Comr. Luky B. Irawan said the suspects, Sukarmo, 35, and Barji, 47, were arrrested on May 1.

Luky said that Sukarmo was an ex-convict.

"He served a sentence in 2008 on drug-dealing charges,"

Luky said police were still looking for other suspects, known only by their nicknames, "Amoy" and "Iwan", who had allegedly supplied the marijuana.
