Casablanca to gain at least 5 new shopping centers

JAKARTA: The 2.5-kilometer stretch of Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio (Casablanca) spanning from Jl. Sudirman to Jl. HR. Rasuna Said may eventually have seven or eight malls including the existing ITC Kuningan and Ambasador Mall, a developer official said Monday.

Another new mall on the stretch will be the Kuningan City Lifestyle and Entertainment Center, developed by PT Arah Sejahtera Abadi, a member of Agung Podomoro Group.

The six-story center will host at least 200 high-end shops and one tower dedicated to dining and clubbing.

"Sixty percent of our tenants would be from *food and beverage industries* including cafes and restaurants for casual and international dining," Kuningan City sales manager Michael Wijaya told The Jakarta Post.

On Tuesday, Kuningan City signed an agreement with five anchor tenants: Best Denki gadget and electronics retailer, LotteMart supermarket, XXI cinema, Gramedia bookstore and Lollipop's playground. - JP
