New program targetting environmental issues

DENPASAR: Indonesian Business Links (IBL) has invited the local government and business circles to support corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to improve environmental conservation in Bali.
IBL managing partner Bambang Sudrajat said the program, CSR for Better Life, would focus on providing Denpasar with access to clean water and a sanitation program.
"When we work together, the result will have amazing impact on the communities," Sudrajat said.
Several companies have set an example through their CSR in Indonesia, including Unilever, Danone and Shell. Throught its CSR program, IBL plans to work alongside local government, NGOs and business communities.
Denpasar's Regional Development Plan Office head I Gusti Putu Anindya Putra said he was open to be involved in any joint programs to improve the city's sanitation and clean water facilities. - JP
