Former chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Antasari Azhar is facing the death sentence for his alleged role in a murder conspiracy of the then director of state pharmaceutical firm PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran, Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, which occurred in March.
During a court session at the South Jakarta District Court, state prosecutors were charging him with article 340 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum punishment of death.
Prosecutor Cyrus Sinaga said that Antasari was suspected to have worked with another defendant, Sigid Hari Wibisono and Snr. Comr. Wiliardi Wizard to persuade executors to murder Nasruddin.
Antasari allegedly asked for Rp 500 million (US$ 50,000) from Sigid as payment for the murder. Antasari's team of lawyers said they would take a week to prepare for a defense against the indictment.

In China they execute corrupt officials and in Indonesia they want to execute the man that catches them.
It says a lot about the Indonesian government's so-called commitment to fighting corruption.

How can he get the death sentence when his only wrongdoing is asking the woman to shake him up. I wonder!

Woman arrested for murdering maid--Oct. 6, p. Online
Bekasi Police have arrested a woman for murdering her live-in housemaid by starving her to death after repeatedly abusing her, an officer said. Bekasi Police chief Sr. Comr. Heri Wibowo told The Jakarta Post the police had sufficient crime-scene evidence and witness testimonies to arrest Sri Tin Suhartini, aged 31. "Her neighbors told us they'd seen her abuse the maid, and her husband told us the same thing," he said. "Even her children testified against her."
Suhartini, a resident of the Taman Sentosa housing complex in West Cikarang, Bekasi, was questioned Monday at the Bekasi Police headquarters after her husband, Natalis Andreas, called a hospital to report the death of the maid, 39-year-old Hapsari, that same day. The paramedics who arrived at the house concluded Hapsari had died of unnatural causes, noting her extremely malnourished body and the numerous burn marks and other physical wounds all over her body.

It perhaps is the craziest story. I've ever read. She is insane, absolutely sick. May God mete out revenge and torture her in hell.
