SBY should retain six ministers: survey

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) should include six of his incumbent ministers in his next administration for the 2009-2014 period, a new survey has revealed.
A survey by the Reform Institute has reported that Yudhoyono should keep Coordinating Minister for the Economy Sri Mulyani Indrawati, State Secretary Hatta Radjasa, Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo, Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari, State Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Adhyaksa Dault and Agriculture Minister Anton Apriantono in his upcoming Cabinet.
The survey involved 2,550 respondents in 68 villages and was held between Sept. 7 and 15. The result of the survey was published on Thursday in Jakarta, Antara state news agency has reported.
Abdul Hamid, director of development at the institute, said 22.11 percent of the respondents had chosen Sri Mulyani, 12.13 percent of them had voted for Hatta, 8.02 of them selected Bambang, 6.46 of them preferred Siti and Adhyaksa while 5.28 of them supported Anton.
The remaining 39.53 percent chose other ministers.
As many as 84.13 percent of the respondents said Yudhoyono should appoint professionals to his Cabinet, while only 7.82 percent suggested that he select candidates from the coalition to sit in the Cabinet. (ewd)
