PALEMBANG: An explosion early on Thursday at the Palembang Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) headquarters in Bukit Besar, South Sumatra, damaged a room and caused a fire in the building.
Sr. Comr. Abdul Gofur, a spokesman for the provincial police, said the explosion occurred at around 5:45 a.m. during heavy rain.
The incident began with an electrical short circuit in a garage. "The short circuit turned from a flicker into a flame, which reached a grenade and explosives in the room," he said.
