TANGERANG: The newly established South Tangerang municipality will build its office on a five-hectare plot of land on Jl. Pamulang II next year, acting mayor MH. Shaleh said Thursday.
"The office will use a quake-proof construction design to anticipate possible earthquakes," Shaleh said.
He said the construction work would start next year.
Hasdanil, head of the municipality's development planning body said the office would have both quake and fire alarms.
"We consider maximum security and comfort for workers as well as visitors using the office," he said.
"The central government, Banten province and the South Tangerang administration will share the funding of the office construction." - JP
