Singapore's Lau wins Women's Grade A Masters

JAKARTA: Singapore bowler Clara Lau won the Women's Grade A Masters at the Ancol International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship at the Jaya Ancol Bowling Arena in North Jakarta on Thursday.
The 21-year-old, who won the same title at the recent Singapore Open, snatched victory with a total score of 2357.
She was trailed by Indonesia's A. Ayu T.D., who scored 2256. Lau's compatriot, Cindy Ho, finished third with 2202, while Indonesians Jessica Florencio and Tan Bie Liang rounded out the top five.
Local bowler David Sitorus led the qualifying round of the Men's Open Masters and ensured his spot in the final, followed by compatriot Ryan Lalisang.
The Oct. 8-17 tournament features nine categories: men's and women's open, men's and women's grade A, men's and women's grade B, youth, under-18 and under-15. -JP
