President-elect Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono looks to have offered Democratic Party politician Syarif Hasan the manpower minister post.
Syarif said he talked with Yudhoyono and vice president-elect Boediono about job creation during their closed-door meeting at the president-elect’s house in Cikeas in the West Java town of Bogor on Saturday.
“The discussion also concerned absorption of manpower. The president briefed me about economic development strategy that would rely on growth, pro-poor and pro-job approaches, so that more jobs are created, unemployment is curbed and people will prosper,” Syarif said.
Democratic Party has expected Yudhoyono to allocate seven ministerial seats for the party which he founded.
