It is quite easy now to have Rihanna’s curvy body, Angelina Jolie’s sexy pout or Robert Pattinson’s six-pack abs.
People begin to line up for cosmetic or plastic surgery to get the ideal body and look instantly.
The problem is many people sometimes do not know about the nitty-gritty of undergoing the surgery or other sophisticated beauty technologies, such as laser and Botulinum toxin or Botox injections.
No wonder why there have been cases where people end up with bad surgeons and fail to achieve their ideal shape.
Many people also think plastic surgery is quick and easy, with no complications. They have no idea there are risks in cosmetic surgery, just as with any other type of surgery.
Enrina Diah, a specialist in cosmetic and craniofacial surgery, gives guidelines for patients who want to reconstruct or reshape their bodies, through her book Ultimate Beauty: Menjadi Pribadi Menakjubkan dengan Aesthetic Surgery (Ultimate Beauty: Becoming an Amazing Personality with Esthetic Surgery).
Enrina says she hopes the 281-page book can help educate people so they don’t get trapped into a bad surgery.
She goes into detail about the entire process, from how to choose good surgeons, pre-op preparations and the types of surgery, to the risks and recovery tips.
Before undergoing surgery, for instance, patients who smoke must go cold turkey for at least two weeks prior, while people whose hearts function at less than 50 percent of capacity should not undergo surgery.
Choosing the right surgeon is one of the most important decisions you will make, she says. You have to make sure that the surgeon is certified and have a good reputation.
Enrina also gives the skinny on various kinds of surgeries, including facial contouring, tummy tucks, breast augmentation and female genital enhancement, mommy makeover cosmetic (reshaping a woman’s body after giving birth) and wedding beauty makeover (surgery for couples before the wedding day).
Enrina also writes a chapter on surgery for men, including neck lifts, hair transplants, liposuction and male breast reduction, as well as a guideline on surgery for teens.
The final chapter highlights after-surgery treatments, such as chemical peeling, skin resurfacing and laser.
The medical terms in the book are quite easy to understand for the layperson. Color pictures and sketches also clarify the information, as well as attract the readers.

There are many websites that give some insight on how to choose a good cosmetic surgeon. You have to be sure in your cosmetic surgeon because they are the one who is responsible in the operation. It depends on they whether the surgery will be successful, and your safety is also at their hands. Before you make the big decision you should also have to consider the danger and the complications of the surgery.
