Police to reenact terrorist arrest chronology

JAKARTA: Officers from the Detachment 88 counterterrorism unit will reenact the events surrounding the arrest of high-profile terror suspects Saifuddin Zuhri and Muhammad Syahrir at a boarding house in Ciputat Timur, South Tangerang, on Sunday.

Kompas.com has reported that officers arrived at the house with a printer, styrofoam and some bags. The police will reportedly present Soni, Fajar and Afram during the reenactment.

Soni, Fajar and Afram have been accused of housing Zuhri and Syahrir, who were shot dead by police last week.

Zuhri is believed to have recruited suicide bombers for the twin bombings of two luxury Jakarta hotels in July, while Syahrir is a close aide of terrorist Noordin M. Top. - JP
