JAKARTA: All Indonesians currently studying at the International Islamic University (IIU) in Islamabad, Pakistan, which was bombed on Tuesday, are safe and have been evacuated from their campus, state news agency Antara reported on Wednesday.
In a message emailed to Antara, Muladi Mughni, an Indonesian student at the IIU, said the evacuation of the Indonesian students was conducted several hours after the bomb blast.
Most of the Indonesian students were now staying at the Indonesian Embassy guesthouse, while a few had been placed in the houses of Embassy local staff.
The two suicide bombs that destroyed part of the university building were reported to have killed two people and injured 23 others. - JP
