PURBALINGGA: Purbalingga regency administration is currently setting up a puppetry museum to lure more tourists to visit the regency.
Regent Triyono Budi Sasongko said the puppetry museum would be adjacent to the regency's existing Museum of Money located in the integrated Reptile and Fruits Park Recreation Center.
Triyono said the puppetry museum would display various kinds of puppets, dolls and leather-made ones.
"We hope visitors of the recreation centers will be more satisfied with the additional museum," he said on Thursday.
The regency's planning and development agency's infrastructure division head Siswanto said the construction of the puppetry museum had been financed by the regency's budget worth Rp 350 million (US$35,000).
"The construction of the building is expected to be completed this year on Dec. 10," Siswanto added. -JP
