I refer to an article titled "Govt urged to respect Ahmadiyah rights," (The Jakarta Post, Oct. 15) Members of the Ahmadiyah Muslim community are renowned the world over for their attachment to peace. They are taught from their infancy that they must be law-abiding citizens wherever they live.
Their motto is: love for all, hatred for none. They believe that faith devoid of good deeds and service of God's creation is no faith at all.
Thus, in every society where the Ahmadis are found, the communities bear witness to their unblemished record of peaceful, law-abiding nature and can show the good work they are involved in to improve the lives of the poor and disadvantaged members of the society.
Your comments:
When I read the above letter, I cannot help but think that the mainstream religious community's could learn a lot from Ahmadiyah Muslim's, such as love for all mankind, peace and tolerance, obeying the law, being community orientated and interested in building and advancing rather than destruction and regression.
Seems to me the world desperately needs people like this who make up the Ahmadiyah Muslim's, rather than cowardly, ignorant thugs who attempt to propagate their beliefs, in the name of religion, by using violence and intimidation.
It is very easy to understand the actions of more radical Muslims, the Ahmadiyah message of love over hate and fear is bound to attract converts.
Personally I hope that justice is served and that these good people are allowed to practice their beliefs in peace, although somehow I doubt it.

Brothers and Sisters, my warmest greetings! I am a Christian. Christianity is a diverse religion, like any other religion.
There are Catholics, Protestants and many others, but one thing they have in common is that they all believe in Jesus Christ as their savior and their prophet. hence the name Christianity.
Though I don't know exactly how the title Ahmadiyah came about in the Muslim religion, what I do know about the Ahmadiyah sect is that they believe their prophet is someone else. (Hence the name Ahmadiah) other than Prophet Muhammad SAW.
I am sure this is the single most critical factor that arouses animosity between the two Muslim sects. Not until this perception is corrected will the bickering end I guess. I want an answer. Correct me if am wrong. forgive me for anything. God bless us all!

Hello Patrick, mainstream Muslims believe the prophet Mohammad was the last prophet from the line of prophets and that there is no possibility of another prophet after him.
The Ahmadiyah believe that prophet Mohammad was the last prophet who could bring any new law from God. The Ahmadiyah Muslim community was established in 1889 by Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who proclaimed to be the reformer of the age, who was prophesized to come.
He came to enlighten the Muslims about koranic teachings without adding or taking anything away from the beliefs He claimed that he was the spiritual second coming of Jesus with the purpose of uniting all religions under the umbrella of Islam.
