House Commission I on defense, information and foreign affairs will summon Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa to seek further information on Indonesia’s response to the occupation by Israeli police of the Al Aqsa grand mosque in Palestine.

“The Israeli move is a serious violation,” commission chairman Kemal Azis Tamboel of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) said during an audience with the Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) Islamic group in Jakarta on Thursday.

HTI spokesperson Muhyiddin Hamidy urged the commission to support deployment of civilian militias to Palestine to remove the Israeli police.
