President Susilo Bambang Yudhyono opened Thursday a national summit, where private companies and other stakeholders will provide the government with input for the 2010-2014 period.

The president will also speak on the occasion of his new administration's vision for the next five year period.

The summit, themed “Making a Prosperous, Judicious and Democratic Indonesia”, will be attended by 1,424 stakeholders and will last until Saturday.

Industry Minister Mohammad S. Hidayat had said that one of the key focuses of the summit was to draft a matrix and a time frame that summed up the results of the summit so the government and stakeholders could analyze the agreed projects, and determine how much financing was needed and obstacles that might exist.

The summit is held under the coordination of Vice President Boediono, who on the final day of the summit will provide a report about the conclusions reached before reporting to the President.
